My name is Evan Winkofsky and I am a Producer at CBS Sports Radio in Tampa, Florida. After working in Sports, News and Talk as both a Producer and Board Operator, I have acquired a wide-range of experience over various formats.
At CBS Radio I currently produce “The Fabulous Sports Babe” with sports radio pioneer Nanci Donnellan and “The Rock Riley Show”. Nanci was one of the first female sports radio hosts in the country and was syndicated on ESPN Radio and ESPN 2 for seven years. I am also the remote technician for 98.7 The Fan’s live broadcasts from The Fan Cave before Tampa Bay Ray’s home games.
Before joining CBS Radio I was an Associate Producer at Sirius XM in Washington D.C. I produced “Mike Slater: Young Conservative” and “Bauer and Rose” as a part of The Patriot Channel’s Sunday lineup. I produced and screened calls for conservative talk show host Mike Church and Urban View Talk & Entertainment host Maggie Linton. I was also the producer of Art Bell’s daily sci-fi, paranormal exposé, Dark Matter. Art Bell is a legend of late-night talk radio. He co-founded Coast to Coast AM which at its peak was syndicated on over 500 channels and boasted over 15 million nightly listeners. Art recently reemerged with Dark Matter on Sirius XM’s Indie Channel 104 before stepping away from radio just a few months later.
After working for major broadcasting networks such as ESPN, SiriusXM and CBS I understand not only what it means to represent a major market station but also a major nationwide broadcasting company.
Previously, I spent 3 years as a Producer, Board Op and Promotions Assistant at 97.1 The Fan. The Fan, an ESPN affiliate in Columbus OH, is the flagship station of Ohio State Athletics, The Columbus Blue Jackets and the broadcast home of the Cleveland Indians for central Ohio. During my time at The Fan, I produced The Kirk Herbstreit Show, Chris Spielman on Sports, Bishop & Rothman, The Urban Meyer and Thad Matta Call-In shows and The Offseason with former Buckeye and NFL linebacker Bobby Carpenter.
