"Today's Texts" will feature my comments on texts that I receive from friends and family.
These texts don't fall into a category of being extremely hilarious or interesting just ones that I feel should be shared.
The First Ever Today's Text is...
(TXT) Cardinals pitcher is hitting 8th and their shortstop is batting 9, weird.
(Me) This is why I hate the NL.
As a fan of the AL central leading Chicago White Sox I never want to see a pitcher batting... period.
Who do I want batting with two outs in the 5th inning in a tie ball game? Bronson Arroyo, I think not. The answer: a designated hitter any one of them.
Why? Because it is flat out more interesting and entertaining to watch. Do I want a pitcher that swings like Pedro Cerrano at the dish who "no hit curveball". Absolutely not I want a dude that can send one out into the right field porch.
End of story. The DH is the real deal. And I know them's fightin words to all you baseball purists but I really don't care. Your baseball is boring.
I don't go to the park to watch some dude wearing a warm up jacket lay down a bunt...
